Safety tips for a spooky night

Many people will spend the next few weekends visiting various haunted houses opening up around town.
Before heading out for a scare, there are a few safety tips to keep in mind.
Parents are advised to stay close to their children and maybe even place a glow stick on their clothing so that they can be easily found.
For those going out in a group, set up a meeting place just in case you get lost.
Also be sure to use handrails and avoid running so that you don't fall.
"Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are good for walking outside. No sandals or open toed shoes or anything like that and dress for the weather," said Capp Council, Haunted Forest Owner.
The owner of the Haunted Forest says people should also know where the exits are and if the facility provides security.
