Wednesday evening, investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office conducted surveillance at 1725 Gornto Road, Valdosta and observed the sale of marijuana.
The investigators contacted the occupant of the room and obtained a search warrant.
A search of the room resulted in the recovery of approximately 143 grams of marijuana valued at approximately $1,600, scales and packaging materials for the marijuana.
20-year-old Stacy Blackwell Jr. and 18-year-old Quinton Earl Hall were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Blackwell Jr. was also charged for giving false name because he initially lied about who he was.
Blackwell and Hall were arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Jail. They will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court Friday afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.
