RIDEforHope raises over $10,000 for Cancer Coalition of South Georgia
Officials with the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia say that the RIDEforHOPE Spinning fundraiser raised $11,000 to benefit the organization.
The spinning class was led by Josh Taylor as 56 indoor cyclists metaphorically soared into the sky in an allâout dog fight during the Fighter Pilot Ride at Tony's Westside Gym in Albany on March 7th.
"We are amazed at the community's support for the RIDE, which reminds us of how many individuals in this area are affected by cancer," said Diane Fletcher, CEO of the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia. "We are honored to have hosted internationallyârecognized instructors for both our 2012 and 2013 RIDES. With such strong interest from participants and sponsors, we plan to continue holding RIDES to raise awareness about the Cancer Coalition's work while raising funds to help us keep fighting cancer right here."
