Health inspectors are keeping a close eye out for hygiene violations - things like handling food and drinks properly and correct hand washing procedures. If these violations are allowed to go on without being corrected, customers could possibly get sick.

      Lowest Scores:

Dairy Queen, 2005 North Street, Ashburn - Grade: 69

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, any score below 70 is considered unsanitary.

During the inspection, the health inspector docked points for the handwashing sink not being accessible.

Food stored in the cooler was uncovered. Pineapple in the cooler had mold-like growth on it. The food in the prep area was twenty-four hours past the expiration date.

Wiping cloths and utensils were not stored properly and there was no paper towel dispensers in either bathroom.

There was a buildup of slime on the inside of the ice machine.

An employee was seen not washing hands or changing gloves between projects.

Dairy Queen was also cited for having non-working equipment all around the restaurant.
