In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know what type of food safety violations would get a restaurant shut down.
Fox 31 spoke to the Dougherty County Environmental Health Department who says infractions that can cause food-borne illnesses warrant further action.
"Food from unapproved sources, improper hand washing, food not being cooked to the proper temperature, food not being held at the proper temperature," listed Environmental Health Specialist, Lincoln Mitchell.
Mitchell says if a restaurant does not pass health inspection, they have ten days to fix the problem before they must voluntarily shut down and asses the problem or risk getting their permit revoked.
