Residents say they're staying put for the holiday
A study was done by AAA saying the Fourth of July was the busiest holiday in terms of traveling.
That doesn't seem like the case, however, for Southwest Georgia.
FOX 31 spoke to several citizens today and all of them said they were either staying home or elsewhere in town for the holiday. Some said it was because of gas prices and how expensive it is to take a trip.
Others said it's because of the weather lately, they don't want to take a chance driving through the rain and storms.
