      Renovations and funding on the table at DCSS committee meeting

      They approved moving to the board a request to withdraw their request for Capital Outlay Funds for Sylvester Road Elementary School since it's closing. They will still get the $857,919 from the state but will have to use it towards other schools. / Courtney Highfield


      The Building and Grounds Committee of the Dougherty County School System met Tuesday morning to discuss several changes and updates.

      They approved moving to the board a request to withdraw their request for Capital Outlay Funds for Sylvester Road Elementary School since it's closing. They will still get the $857,919 from the state but will have to use it towards other schools.

      Board members also changed the bid date to July 2 in regards to starting phase two of the Dougherty High School project.
