The American Red Cross is helping families rejuvenate after losing their homes.

Executive Director Lara Gill of the American Red Cross Flint River Chapter says they always need more volunteers and especially now with the influx of house fires in South Georgia.

Gill said "what the Red Cross does in these situations is we go to the families and we're able to give them prepaid vouchers for food, clothing, storage, bedding, and maybe put them in a motel if they have nowhere to go for a couple of nights."

The American Red Cross is a volunteer led organization and is always taken donations to help fund situations like the previously mentioned.
