Realtors prep for open house, push tax credits
Albany realtors are getting ready for the first ever Nationwide Open House weekend.
The Albany Board of Realtors will show 50 houses in Albany, Lee County, and surrounding areas on April 10 and 11. It's a push to get potential buyers to take advantage of the homebuyer tax credit. The $8,000 first-time homebuyer and $6,500 repeat homebuyer credit runs out April 30.
"You still have some time to close on the deal," said former Board President Gary Eller. "Just get that house under contract by April the 30th and that realtor will help you through that process."
