On Friday, one local school is doing everything they can to put the fun in fundamental.
Faculty and staff at Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts kicked off their Million Word Campagin.
The campagin is designed to make reading fun for all the students.
During the program, school members acted out popular scenes from some of the most well known books, giving the kids a few laughs in the process.
Faculty members say it's important because reading is the foundation for all success in education.
Media Specialist Pamela Roshio says, "some of them come to school really not that interested in it, and we do everything we can to get them hooked on reading."
They also also acted out a special tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King for the 50th anniversary of his historic "I Have A Dream" speech.
