      Ranger receives prestigious recognition

      The Tifton Gazette reports that Corporal Greg Wade, a conservation ranger in Tift County was recently recognized by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as the Rocky Wainwright Officer of the Year.

      The award is given out annually to recognize rangers that exhibit outstanding efforts towards waterfowl conservation.

      Wade's coworkers stated that his diligence, dedication and old-fashioned hard work has been evident in the patrol data that he logs and has devoted hours of his own time to patrols and investigations.
