Byne Memorial Baptist Church off Ledo Road took a different approach to their annual spring fair and Easter egg hunt, dropping thousands of plastic eggs out of helicopter.

With 2013 being the second annual, "Egg Drop and Festival," officials say it's just a fun and different way to celebrate the Easter season.

"Last year we only had about 600 people come out, but this year I'd say we've tripled those numbers. It's just a chance for young families to come out and enjoy the season a little differently," said Pastor Matthew Nance.

And if the thrill of eggs falling from the sky wasn't enough, the event was 100% free coupled with a free lunch.
