Railroad tracks bring problems to Tifton neighborhood
Railroad tracks adjacent to Duggan and 9th Street are causing problems in a Tifton neighborhood.
Residents say a train comes through the neighborhood every 20 minutes making noise and shaking houses during the day and night.
Ulamay Davis said, "It wakes me up; if we're sleep, it'll wake us up."
Other residents conveyed another problem with railroad tracks and say it brings an outlet for additional crime.
One resident, Chris Smith, says the train tracks act as hub for people to commit crimes on one side, and escape to the other side of the tracks.
Czernia Woods adds she has had some attempts to rob her home in broad daylight and tried to enter through her daughter's screen window.
Residents are hoping to get more patrol and are asking for a bypass to subdue the noise and most importantly the crime.
