The Albany Housing Authority is considering how a new program will affect rent income.
Board members say the formula with the new Rental Assistance Demonstration program does not work for Albany.
They're hoping legislatures can re-work the formula so it fits our area.
"Our staff reviews annually with tenants their current income levels and if there's a need for rental adjustments, we make those adjustments but that's not the case," said R.W. Frank Wilson, Albany Housing Authority Board Chair.
Wilson says, as with any system, there will be some who will try to take advantage.
