Quintuple shooting defendant sentenced

For the second time in a week, Colquitt County court officials have sentenced a defendant for a 2004 quintuple murder.

Jerry Thompson Jr. pled guilty to five counts of felony murder back in November of 2012.

He's now sentenced to serve five life sentences concurrent with his federal sentencing.

Thompson is the second man sentenced in the 2004 murders of Betty and Katina Watts and three others.

Last week a Colquitt County Judge sentenced Alexander Woods III to five life sentences in connection to the crimes.
