Pushed to the limit to make the S.W.A.T team

The Albany-Dougherty S.W.A.T. Team held tryouts Wednesday morning to fill some of their open positions.

They had seven guys try out and they all had to do a variety of physical tests and go through an interview to be able to qualify.

Some of the physical qualifications they had to meet were pulling a 150-pound dummy across a field, putting together a disassembled gun and shooting at a target, doing a low crawl, and climbing a wall.

S.W.A.T. Team officials told FOX 31 that if they want to make the team they have to be able to do all of these things because they could realistically end up in any kind of dangerous situation. They said they are the ones called in when law enforcement needs help, so if you're on the team you have to be able to go above and beyond.
