Pumpkins are a staple in most people's fall decorations which is obviously a good thing for local pumpkin farmers.

FOX 31 spoke to the owner of Mark's Melon Patch who said he sold thousands of pumpkins this season alone.

His pumpkin prices range anywhere from 75 cents to forty dollars and he wasn't yet sure of the exact dollar amount he earned this year.

When asked to rate his sales on a scale of one to ten, he rated himself pretty high.

Mark Daniel says, "pumpkin sales I would say was a 9 or 10 we had a really good year cause the crop, we pretty much hit all cylinders with the crop I mean all the specialty pumpkins made and they don't always make."

Daniel says he still has plenty of pumpkins left and expects to have some until the beginning of December.
