Albany has been selected into a program that's aimed to improve life for those living in public housing.
The 'Good Life City' is one of five municipalities in Georgia to take part in the three-year Georgia Initiative for Community Housing.
Communities will receive instruction as they design and implement a new housing program.
The program is set to improve the quality of life of residents and help build economic conditions.
The series of retreats and classes will be put on by the department of community affairs.
