Wed, 07 Aug 2013 19:02:59 GMT — In Lee County, the school system has implemented a new idea for students to 'Bring Your Own Technology' to school. With the initiative, the Lee County Sheriff's Office is warning parents to be aware of the dangers of the internet.Sergeant Tommy Goodwin, the Internet Crimes Against Children Officer with the Lee County Sheriff's Office says their are three things parents should focus on when teaching their kids about Internet safety.They are cyber bullying, Internet predators, and giving out personal information over the internet.Goodwin says, "parents need to be more proactive and not reactive when it comes to monitoring your child on the internet."
