Georgia Power handed off a $3,000 dollar check today at Kinchafoonee Primary School in Lee County.
The electric company took pictures with the kids and said the money would be contributing to several school programs, and giving the kids some new supplies.
Officials say this is just something simple they could do to give back to the community.
"Our company motto is to help the citizens we serve, and we hope this is a way to present that to the citizens and also to our customers in the community," said local manager for Georgia Power, Bernie Spell.
Teachers at the school say the money is a tremendous gift and something that will further kids education in Lee County for years to come.
