      Police pursuit ends with crash and tasing

      The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit has arrested two brothers after a chase Tuesday afternoon.Police say that about 2:30 pm, an ADDU officer ran the plates of a car on Palmyra Road and information came cal that the owner's license was suspended, there was no insurance on the vehicle, and the owner had warrants out on him.The officer attempted to stop the car, but the driver pretended like he was going to stop but instead kept going.This led police on a chase through North Slappey Boulevard. The pursuit came to an end on North Van Buren Street and 11th Avenue when the suspects car spun out of control and crashed with an ADDU car.The driver and the passenger, Bennie Mainor, 34, and Nickolas Mainor, 32, got out of the car and began to run, according to authorities.Police say they chased after the suspects and ended up tasing Bennie Mainor, which led to him fall to the ground and injured his forehead. He was transported to Phoebe Putney for treatment. ADDU officials say he will face charges.His brother Nickolas has been arrested and is facing several charges.Police say they found meth, marijuana, pills, drug paraphernalia and cash inside the car.
