Albany citizens had a chance to meet and greet law enforcement over dinner.

Albany police held 'Community Night' at Chick-Fil-A Thursday evening.

Families were invited out to mingle with police while officers used this time to spread their message.

"We've been going around throughout the city of Albany empowering citizens, reminding them to not just lock their vehicles when they exit them but to take all but to take all of their valuables out of the cars with them," said Cpl. Brian Covington, Albany Police Department.

The event was put on to build a relationship with residents.
