Police looking for suspect in armed robbery at an ATM

Police are searching for the man who officials say robbed a woman at gunpoint while she was at an ATM.
Officials responded to an armed robbery on Wednesday at a Bank of America in the 100 block of West Oglethorpe. They say 28-year-old Shemika Mackeroy was approached by a black male with a handgun who demanded money. Officials say she the suspect took the small amount she had and left the scene on foot.
This case is currently under investigation.
Some tips Albany Police officials say to use while at an ATM:
-If you are involved in a confrontation with an assailant who demands your money, COMPLY.
-Use an ATM located near the center of a building (corners create a blind spot), in public or in a well-lighted area free of shrubbery, decorative partitions or dividers.
-Memorize your PIN. Never write it on the back of your card.
-Pay attention to your surroundings throughout the entire transaction.
-Prepare all transaction paperwork prior to your arrival at the ATM to minimize the amount of time spend at the machine.
-Check the card reader on the ATM: If it is loose, if may be a "skimmer" placed to fraudulently obtain your card and PIN number. Cancel your transaction and notify bank personnel. If the bank is closed, notify the police immediately.
