The Albany Dougherty Planning Commission has unanimously approved a rezoning request that is set to bring another major grocery store to Albany.

The 41,000 square feet structure will sit behind the Waffle House at the intersection of Gillionville Road and Westover Boulevard.

The store will have a deli, and a pharmacy with a drive through.

There will also be a pumping station in front of the store.

The developer of the structure tells FOX 31 that he is under a confidentiality agreement and cannot reveal the name of the store. He did tell planning commissioners that the store is not a Harvey's chain.

If the rezoning ordinance is approved by city commissioners, construction will start in the summer and the facility will be completed by the end of the year.
