Pink Balloon Walk raises breast cancer awareness

The hospital hosted a walk to raise breast cancer awareness

The Phoebe Putney Breast Health Center hosted a walk Friday morning to raise breast cancer awareness. The 7th annual Pink Balloon Walk was held to help inform people about the disease.

About 200 employees walked with pink balloons today. Nurse Dorothy Dickey says right now the walk is only for Phoebe workers, but that may change. "It might enlarge later but we try to focus on our employees to make sure we get the message out to go and get your mammograms," says Dickey.

Workers enjoyed music, snacks, and door prizes.
