Now that Phoebe Putney has cleared a hurdle blocking them from purchasing Palmyra many of you wanted to know what's next. That's our Facebook Story of the Day.
On Monday federal judge Louis Sands dismissed the Phoebe Palmyra lawsuit stating that they're immune from federal antitrust liability.
Hospital officials say they now plan to push forward with the transaction and hope to have Palmyra as a part of Phoebe in the near future.
"If the courts do not do anything to further impede our ability to close. I think you will see this thing happen within the next two to three weeks," said Phoebe Putney Senior V.P. Tommy Chambless.
However, officials with the Federal Trade Commission already say they plan to appeal the ruling by judge sands' to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
