Phoebe members strategize during closed-door meeting
For the first time in years, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital employees held a special called meeting for all medical staff leaders and hospital board members to exchange ideas on Thursday evening.
Though some of the medical staff and board members meet regularly, the board wanted everyone to come together during an executive session meeting to strategize on how the hospital can meet their goal of being in the top 10% of all potential quality measures.
"Medical staff leadership is engaged in that, the board's engaged in that, but we've not yet ever had the opportunity to have them all together in one room for what we hope will be a very productive exchange of ideas about how to get there," said Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Doug Patten.
Those at the meeting didn't take any actions but say the meeting itself is a step towards meeting that goal.
