Phoebe Lung Watch awarded for detecting disease early
Phoebe Cancer Center has been named a Screening Center of Excellence (SCOE) by the Lung Cancer Alliance for its Lung Watch program.
Lung Watch starts with a primary care physician with intense monitoring of high risk patients of lung cancer without symptoms; helping people at risk for lung cancer detect disease early.
Phoebe Cancer Center has this ongoing commitment to responsible lung cancer screening. Phoebe is the only hospital in the state, south of Macon, to be named a SCOE.
Nurse Navigator Catherine D'Amico says she's proud to be part of a program that has worked so hard to improve health and being able to make a difference in people's lives means a lot.
Phoebe earned the designation after only three months of launching Lung Watch.
