Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital held its 16th annual Paver Dedication Ceremony today.
The bricks provide a special way to memorialize a loved one who has been a part of the Phoebe family or is a patient under the hospital's care. Development Coordinator Mandy Davis says there are over 1800 pavers in Phoebe's pathways now, and the hospital plans on adding 70 more bricks this year.
"These are lasting tributes and will be here for years to come and we hope people will be able to come out; look at these pavers as they come to the hospital and just remember those people," said Davis.
The first dedicated brick was laid in 1993.
