A celebration of the pecan brought thousands in Baconton.
Saturday festivities kicked off with a parade. Then folks headed over to the 38th Annual Baconton Pecan Harvest Festival.
Vendors set up shop with food, clothes, and accessories. There was even face painting and games for kids.
This event gave businesses a chance to advertise their products while bringing together the community.
It's a huge event for the community to fellowship, get together, eat, have fun and it's been going on for 38 years, said Annette Morman, Baconton Mayor.
The event was hosted by the Baconton Downtown Development Authority hosted the festival.
