Owner cooking up more than fried chicken after burglary

The owner of Maryland Fried Chicken on Slappey Boulevard is offering a $500 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a burglary suspect.

The restaurant was robbed early Wednesday morning just after 3:00 AM.

In surveillance video, the suspect is seen entering the drive thru window, by breaking it with a concrete brick and climbing through.

The suspect took cash from the front counter then entered the office. He took an undisclosed amount of cash out of several office drawers.

When the man left he took several register drawers, bags, and trays with him. Officers report that some of the items taken were recovered in the 600 block of North Slappey.

The man was captured on camera wearing a navy blue sweatshirt with USA written on the front in red letters, acid washed jeans, black tennis shoes.
