Patients who have ostomy bags can now go to Phoebe Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center for help thanks to a new program.

Those in the center have been trained to give patients the tools necessary for their independence while using the bag, as well as provide resources to help educate them.

"We want to make sure that support so that on a day-to-day basis, they'll be able to take care of themselves, they'll be able to have family member's support and they, hopefully, will be able to just go on a normal, day-to-day basis," said Ostomy Care Nurse, Gwen Collins.

Staff members say they'll offer in and out-patient services to help those with a wide range of issues as well as patients who are suffering from complications.
