A one-vehicle wreck in Worth County early Saturday morning has claimed the life of a Ty Ty teenager.
The driver, 17-year-old Jacob Saxton, was pronounced dead at the scene. 21-year-old Cameron Conger had a laceration to his knee, a burn to his hand and a broken nose. 18-year-old Lyle Mathis was not transported to the hospital.
The Ford Explorer they were driving in on Brown Cemetery Road was going about 70 miles per hour when it went off of the road and struck a tree about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Alcohol was a contributing factor and all three were under the influence, according to Georgia State Trooper Jack Stripling.
