      One injured in late night shooting

      Albany Police have made two arrests in the homicide of Terry Mack that took place Thursday night on Cone Avenue.

      32-year-old, Ronnie Holmes and 39-year-old Michael Woods have both been charged in the case and were transported to jail shortly after 5:00 AM this morning.

      Holmes has been charged with murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during certain crimes.

      Woods shared similar charges including murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault.

      Robert Mack has been trying to find answers to the many questions he has since an unknown black male fatally shot his 44-year-old son Terry while he was sitting inside his car on Cone Avenue late Thursday night.

      Mack says Terry was a nice, quiet person with no enemies, but both he and Terry's friends say they believe the shooting was a set up and they still can't figure out why.

      Family members gathered at his parent's house just down the block where he was killed and say they hope the police find the man witnesses saw running away.

      Friends say they were with him all day without problems and they're still in shock over the shooting.

      Albany police say at this time not many tips have come in and they're asking anyone with information to report it or leave an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.

      Officers responded to 231 Cone Street, Apartment A in reference to a shooting around 11:30 PM.

      Terry Mack, 44-years-old, was sitting in his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer when an unknown person approached the driver's side and fired into the vehicle. The victim was fatally wounded.

      The suspect is a black male wearing dark clothing.

      This case is considered active; anonymous tips can be reported to Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.


      FIRST UPDATE (1:00 AM):

      Around 11:30 PM, a 44-year-old black man was sitting in a vehicle when the suspect walked up to the car and shot him.

      There is no description of the suspect at this time. Police add that the Gang Unit is not involved in this case.

      Albany police officers have confirmed that the victim was fatally shot.

      Albany police officers got a call that a person had been shot in the head tonight off of Cone Street around 11:30 PM.

      The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

      Six Albany police cars remain on the scene and two houses are blocked off for investigation.
