Officer injured during struggle with aggravated assault suspect
A Moultrie police officer was injured after getting into a struggle with an aggravated assault suspect.
Police officials say that they were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of 10th ST NW in regards to a domestic disturbance.
Officer Brandon Walker responded, and upon arrival, says that Troy Brown ran.
Department officials say that Officer Walker was able to arrest Brown after a struggle, in which Walker's leg was injured.
Police say that the Investigation discovered that Brown had strangled a black female by the name of Janet Greene and threatened to stab her with a knife.
Officers say that Greene is doing well with minor injuries.
Brown is under arrest at the Colquitt County Jail and has been charged with aggravated assault and obstruction of officers.
