Non-profits profit from league of ladies

A representative from the Lily Pad Sane Center talks about her donation.

The Junior League of Albany presented checks to two organizations Thursday afternoon.

Women of the Junior League handed over $17,000 to the Children's Miracle Network.

The Lily Pad Sane Center also received a generous donation of $16,500.

The Lily Pad is the Junior League's signature program.

Next year, the organization will rally for funds for another non-profit group.

We're very much looking forward to working with Albany ARC. We've worked with other non-profits in the past like Grace Way and the Liberty House and we've pretty much covered everybody and we're just happy to be able to help anyone, said Tiffany Winn, President of the Albany Junior League.

All of the donated money was raised through fundraisers that were held last year and earlier this year.
