No uniforms for Tift County students
Tift County students will get to go to school next year wearing their own clothes after the results of a county-wide survey of whether or not to adopt uniforms were calculated.
Parents and students voted against the adoption of uniforms but teachers voted to have them in the classrooms.
The results were presented to the Tift County School Board Tuesday evening and officials say members decided to do away with having uniforms since the public didn't want them.
Officials held the survey as a way to let the county voice their opinion and say they didn't care what the response was as long as it was what the public wanted.
