      New year armed robbery suspect arrested

      Lee will be charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. / Douglas Police Department

      The Douglas Police Department has announced that they have arrested a suspect for two armed robberies that happened earlier in the year.

      Police say that they have arrested 34-year-old Gregory Bernard Lee for the robberies that occurred on January 1 at Aden's Minit Mart and at Papa John's on January 10.

      During the investigation, officials say they were able to identify the suspect as being the same in both incidents.

      Lee was arrested on January 15 by Douglas police, Coffee County Sheriff's Office, Ware County Sheriff's Office, the Waycross Police Department, and officials from the Georgia Parole Office.

      Lee will be charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
