In these tough economic times, buying expensive medication can be hard but for folks in one local county there maybe some relief.

Now residents who live in Cook County can now use what's called the Coast2CoastRX card.

It will be available to all Cook County residents regardless of your income, age, or health status.

Officials say so far this year the card has saved people across the nation an average of 60% on the cost their prescription drugs.

Steve Rohm, National Sales Manager with Coast2Coast says, "some folks that are uninsured or have high deductibles or people without insurance, they have to pay that entire cost so you might have a drug that $250 and for some folks, that not an option to spend that of money on medication."

The card is distributed free of charge and can be used all pharmacies in Cook County.

To sign up for the card, go to their website, coast2coastrx.com.
