New law firm to handle LCMC impact study for Dougherty Commission
Dougherty County Attorney Spencer Lee made the announcement during Monday's commission meeting.
Lee says they have changed to Baker Hostetler as one of their partners, Robert Rozier, is a former director of the Georgia Department of Community Health.
"I feel like we're in a better position with him, where we'll get a better independent analysis than we would have, of course, I think with the other attorney," Lee told commissioners.
Dougherty County had previously been working with an Atlanta-based firm, KBP Law.
Lee added that the $35,000 price tag will remain the same, as will the consulting firm conducting the study, Chafin Consulting Group, and that the study should be completed in the next three weeks.
