Wed, 02 Apr 2014 21:48:50 GMT — A $2 million water tower is going up in a northwest Albany neighborhood. It's one that neighbors feel will cause the property value to plummet. The purpose of the water tower is to alleviate some water pressure issues in the area. FOX 31 went out to the neighborhood on Dover Lane today to get the community's reaction. Out of the 15 doors we knocked on, about six people answered. Several of them are against the tower however no one wanted to go on camera. Ted Alexander did talk saying the tower has its pros and cons and he's had some water pressure issues. "I'm for it as long as it doesn't do anything to diminish the value of our property and that's what most people here in our group would be concerned about," Alexander said. The loan to build the tower is to be approved now by the city commission.
