      Neighbor helps nab burglars

      The Valdosta Police Department responded to the 2400 block of Deborah Drive on Wednesday afternoon in reference to a neighbor reporting two African American males removing a washing machine from the residence and placing it into a grey PT Cruiser.

      The vehicle description was given out and officers were en-route spotted teh vehicle on E. Park Avenue.

      The occupants, 26-year-old Lawrence Parrish and 24-year-old Cortez Howell, were identified and the washing machine was recovered.

      Detectives from the Valdosta Police Department Property Crimes Unit resonded to investigate.

      A clothers dryer that had been removed from the residence earlier was also recovered.

      Parrish and Howell were arrested for burglary and they were transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
