Albany Area Primary Health Care hosted their fourth annual Legislative breakfast Thursday morning at Grand Island.

This breakfast takes place during National Community Health Center Week and is in celebration of Albany's own community health center.

State and local government leaders were in attendance.

The goal of the meeting was to speak with government officials about how AAPHC is improving the health of Southwest Georgia communities.

Spokesperson Clifton Bush says AAPHC is "trying to provide the best quality health care for the patients that we serve within out community so we also try to expand services within our community when we have the opportunity."

Serving the Southwest Georgia community since 1979, Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) is a non-profit community health center with offices in Baker, Crisp Calhoun, Dooly, Dougherty, Lee, and Terrell Counties and is governed by a board of local citizens. AAPHC provide care in the specialties of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Podiatry as well as General Dentistry. Services are provided by highly trained professionals.

Offices are open to the general public, adults and children, regardless of residence, income or insurance coverage. As a community health center, it is our goal to offer a broad range of primary care services. W
