In recognition of National Cancer Survivors day, Phoebe Putney Health System held their annual "Celebration of Life".

In an event that took place at the Phoebe Health Works. Cancer survivors, family, support groups and doctors gathered in a show of camaraderie, and to celebrate how cancer survivor can live active and healthy lives.

Dr. Wiliam Mcafee thinks It's a great opportunity for everyone to interact outside the hospital, "When you get out in the fresh sunshine, in a place that there's a lot of energy, and a lot of positive energy, and positive people, it really helps to solidify the importance of what we do and the importance of what these folks have been through."

National Cancer Survivors Day has been celebrated across North America for over 20 years.
