A 33-year-old Kentucky man faces multiple charges in Cordele after officials say he tried to impersonate a police officer and was bothering guests at the local Best Western according to the Cordele Dispatch.
Officials were called to the hotel on Saturday after employees reported Chad Fields was bothering their guests.
When officials questioned Fields, he falsely told them he was a recently graduated Drug Enforcement Agency Officer. Fields is charged with criminal trespass and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
The next day, officials made two other arrests in separate robbery and hit and run incidents.
Officials say around 10 p.m. on Sunday they saw a car being chased by a woman who reported the man hit her and drove off.
The man, 53-year-old Abilio Herrera, tried to speed away from the police who eventually caught him.
Herrera is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, suspended registration and driving under the influence.
Just hours later, police made another arrest when a woman reported she and her boyfriend were being robbed while staying at the Premier Inn.
Officials say they received the call around 2 a.m. and went to the room where they saw the woman's boyfriend and 43-year-old James Maurice Yowe fighting.
The woman told police Yowe asked the couple for gas money twice before he forced his way into the room and demanded money, which is when the two men began fighting long enough for her to call for help.
Yowe is charged with robbery by intimidation, burglary, and two counts of battery.
