Albany's downtown manager has been meeting with a national consulting firm to move forward with the downtown development plan.
Downtown Manager Aaron Blair has been meeting with the Shandon Development team after the Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA) approval of the pre-development agreement with Shandon Development in the last Board of Directors meeting.
As part of the Shandon Development partners, the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) is in town today discussing the master plan for downtown development. They are an advisory services firm that help organizations navigate the road ahead by recognizing opportunity, clarifying vision, creating strategies, implementing action and measuring results.
"We're a consulting firm," Tony Peterman with SAG said. "We help communities and cities and states with understanding projects and from a larger perspective, destinations and improving them."
SAG is a national firm headquartered in Atlanta with offices in Philadelphia and Northern California.
