For several weeks, church leaders in Moultrie have been planning an anti-violence rally in the community. Saturday morning, their plans came to life.
The theme of this rally is "Stop the Violence and Turn to God." Church leaders and city officials were there and spoke out to those who attended about getting involved in the community and helping put an end to the unnecessary violence.
Lisa Hill, a Moultrie council-woman, attended the rally today to encourage people to be more active in their community. Hill believes this will help decrease crime; if people know what's going on and care about the community they live in.
Hill says if you weren't able to attend the rally and you want to get involved you can feel free to get in touch with her.
