After recent cases of violence, FOX 31 looked into Moultrie's domestic violence numbers.
In 2012 Moultrie police handled 185 domestic violence cases. That's about one every two days.
In 2013 Moultrie's numbers were down to 165 incidents
"When an officer responds to an incident of domestic violence, our policy is that if the officer can identify a primary aggressor and can establish probable cause that an act of domestic violence has occurred, then he's obligated to make an arrest on that primary aggressor," said Lt. Seth Walters, Moultrie Police Department.
So far this year, officers have worked about 34 cases.
