More construction underway for SWGA Regional Airport
More construction is underway at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport.
Construction began Monday on the last phase of the terminal improvement program.
Workers will tear down the old terminal and put a new parking lot in it's place.
Airport officials say this is a $3.8 million dollar project and they need you to be as patient as possible.
Airport Director Yvette Aehle says, "we just ask for you patience because as we get underway here there's going to be a lot disruptions with parking asking people to park in areas that their not traditionally use to."
If the weather permits, they hope to have everything completed by early next year.
