Housing programs at the Marine Corps Logistics Base offer more than you may realize. In addition to the single marine barracks and the base family housing, the MCLB also provides living quarters for people passing through. This can include marine families in transition, or military officials conducting business. Retirees, active duty, and Department of Defense civilians with a government ID card can use the facilities. Guests who qualify can stay in a fully stocked house for 49 dollars a night.
Ray Jones says these amenities help keep housing affordable for those who travel frequently.
